Diversity

Diversity at Darrow is not a theoretical concept, it is a functioning reality. Students from coast to coast, and around the world, have come to contribute their experiences to the Darrow community and to learn from the viewpoints of their peers.

Students at Darrow possess different ethnic, religious, socio-economic, and cultural backgrounds, and each proudly shares his or her individual perspective with the community. International students from Turkey to Taiwan to Brazil, students from large urban areas, and students from local communities, have all found their individuality fortified and validated by a community in which respect and dignity are fundamental tenets.

If there is a single unifying theme among the diverse students it is that each individual shares a commitment to his or her own success.

At Darrow - A distictive learning environment

For a school of its size and location, Darrow has a richly diverse student body. When students share photographs from home or their music and favorite ethnic foods, the Darrow community experiences an important extension of learning that teachers and textbooks cannot provide.
