Performing Arts

Darrow students actively participate in the theater program and take music classes. Chorus is offered as a credit course. Our students’ work on stage is impressive, and individuals gain a sense of confidence with each show.

For many, this is the first time they have performed in front of an audience and for others, it’s something they’ve been doing for years. The interaction among the students is particularly rewarding, as they learn from one another in a holistic environment of mutual support. In addition to acting, students construct sets and work backstage on props, costumes, lighting, and stage management.
